Who Killed Dr. Martin Luther King? 6:45-8:45pm, April 7 1112 16th St NW, Suite 600, Washington DC Do you know who killed Dr. MLK Jr.? Before answering you should first join SALSA for this documentary and discussion forum examining the mysteries and controversies still looming around this question. You'll learn how the murder of one of the most influential people of our time is treated as a closed case while the evidence against the man convicted is much less than conclusive. The discussion will be lead by John Judge, who will have just returned from a conference in Memphis TN called "The Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Killing the Dream". John has been an independent researcher into political assassinations since the mid-sixties. He is founder and director of the National Coalition on Political Assassinations www.politicalassasinations.com and helped Register at http://www.hotsalsa.org?cid=1000873

Do you think this administration may be guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors?  Do you know the war won't stop as long as the regime that started it remains in office?  Do you think Congress should live up to its Constitutional obligation to check the executive branch?  A majority of Americans agree! Join this 2nd annual action to spell IMPEACH!, with our bodies and blankets, in giant letters on the ground.  Photographers on top of the Washington Monument will capture the action--and the message--between 4 and 5 pm.  Arrive early to claim your spot in the letter of your choice, enjoy music (artist Dangerous M is coming to play from New York!), information, entertainment and late-April sunshine! (BYO Picnic) In solidarity with the Impeach on the Beach crew in San Francisco. Information: Contact Jay Marx @ 202/234-2000 or wpc@igc.org.

A Day of Action for Immigrant Rights

Thursday, May 1st

Pickets at the RNC and DNC offices on Capitol Hill: 12:30 pm

Mass Rally in Malcolm X Park: 4pm

16th and Euclid Sts. NW Washington D.C.

Metro: Columbia Heights

With national elections underway, this is a critical time for advocates of justice for immigrant communities to raise our voices in solidarity.  Raids and deportations continue to tear families apart, both across the country and within the Washington metropolitan region.  We aim to challenge the climate of fear that these raids have produced and to show that the immigrant community will not be silenced.  We invite all organizations committed to the struggle for social justice to join us in making this mobilization a success.
