Alan McConnell's Civil Disobedience for Impeachment

Jul 21 2007 - 10:00am
Etc/GMT-5

Support requested for Alan McConnell's civil disobedience for impeachment at Kensington Farmers' Market this coming Saturday morning. After selling his "Impeach Him" buttons at the market for several months without incident, Alan was told two weeks ago that he could no longer do so. Alan had intended to violate this order and risk arrest this past Saturday but when the City of Kensington heard about that they took the extreme step of canceling the Saturday Farmer's Market. Certainly the city will not do that again and Alan is determined
to make his point this weekend by being dragged off if need be. The Washington Post, Montgomery County Centenial and Gazette, the City Paper, and WPFW have all expressed interest. If you can make it, please show up. The Farmer's Market is on Howard Avenue, about three hundred yards east of Connecticut Ave.
