BLOWBACK is a political punk rock band whose members are spread out in the Northeast and Los Angeles, one of whose members, Franklin, lives in the D.C. area. They were formed in December 2000, in reaction to the stolen Presidential elections, and wish to help inspire political resistance through their music, lyrics, and harangue. They take their name from the intelligence community as indeed they are an unintended consequence of intelligence operations: the pissed-off energy of the band would not be nearly as focused where it not for the repeated stupidity of the political, military, and intelligence establishment.
